The GCDF Study Guide© is of interest to professionals seeking recognition within their profession.  Most graduate level courses do not teach
the fundamentals of adult career development, workforce development intake and placement, or using labor market information for your clients.

Our
Study Guide provides you, the professional, with the basic information, plus when completed it allows you to seek national certification as
either a provisional or fully certified
Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) from The Center for Credentialing and Education, Inc.

New for 2010 are R&A's free Supplemental Booklets as part of our Global Career Development Facilitator Study Guide.
This includes a Module IV Supplement for Branding and Creative Internet Job Search Strategies using LinkedIn, Twitter, and
Facebook
.  Contact us about our free Supplemental Booklets and see if we have one for your professional area of specialization.

In addition, we now have even more
continuing education Study Guides in development.  Be sure to ask us "What's new in 2010."
The types of individuals who take the GCDF Study Guide include workforce/one-stop staff, K-12 guidance counselors, college career staff,
private career coaches, and human relations staff who provide career and workforce advice in private and nonprofit organizations.

The Study Guide has been approved by The Center for Credentialing & Education, Inc. as meeting their required 120 hours of professional
GCDF training.
  • The difference between the classroom training and this professional distance training Study Guide process is that the
individual professional decides when to study, how much to study, and on what schedule they will complete the
    process.
  • Each unit is approximately 30-clock hours in length.  At the end of each unit there is a required mail-in test.  Passing
scores on these tests are 75%, with one possible retake.
  • R & A, as certified GCDF trainers, score all tests and report the scores back to you.  Once each of the four unit
exams have been successfully completed, a comprehensive final examination is sent out.  The passing score for the
final Study Guide examination is 75%.
  • The average individual completes the Study Guide work in about 6-months and the final examination in less than 4-
    weeks.
The Study Guide is made up of four interrelated units essential to the workforce professional:

UNIT 1 – CAREER DEVELOPMENT THEORY AND INFORMATION
UNIT 2 – DEVELOPING YOUR HELPING SKILLS
UNIT 3 – CAREER INFORMATION, RESOURCES AND PROGRAM DESIGN
UNIT 4 – CASE MANAGEMENT, JOB SEARCH TRAINING AND PROMOTION
